Terms of service

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) set forth the conditions for use of the online content provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) by the Earth Environment Forum, a General Incorporated Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Organization”).
All registered users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 (Scope and Amendments)

  1. These Terms apply to all relationships between Users and the Organization regarding the use of the Service.

  2. By commencing use of the Service, Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

  3. Users shall comply with these Terms in good faith.

  4. The Organization may amend these Terms as necessary. Material changes will be announced in advance on the Organization’s website or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Service after such amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

  5. The Organization may establish additional rules or guidelines for the Service, which shall form part of these Terms. In the event of any conflict, such additional rules shall prevail.

Article 2 (User Registration)

  1. Registration is completed when an applicant agrees to these Terms, applies by the method designated by the Organization, and receives approval from the Organization.

  2. Minors must obtain prior consent from a legal guardian, and use of the Service shall be under the responsibility of such guardian.

  3. Users shall apply for purchase of the Service in accordance with the procedures specified by the Organization. If incorrect information is provided, use of the Service may be denied.

  4. Purchased Services are non-cancellable and non-refundable, except where required by law.

  5. The Organization may refuse registration without disclosing the reason if:

    • False information is provided

    • The applicant has previously violated these Terms

    • The Organization otherwise deems registration inappropriate

Article 3 (User ID and Password Management)

  1. Users shall manage their User ID and password at their own responsibility.

  2. Users may not transfer, lend, or share credentials with any third party.

  3. The Organization shall not be liable for damages caused by unauthorized use, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Organization.

Article 4 (Service Agreement)

  1. Users shall pay the fees specified by the Organization.

  2. A service agreement is formed when the Organization accepts the purchase application.

  3. The Organization may terminate the agreement without notice if the User violates these Terms or if trust is deemed lost.

  4. Payment and subscription methods shall follow procedures separately designated by the Organization.

Article 5 (Intellectual Property Rights)

All copyrights and other intellectual property rights in content provided through the Service belong to the Organization or rightful content providers. Users may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or otherwise use such content without permission.

Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users shall not engage in any of the following:

  • Violation of laws or public order

  • Criminal acts

  • Infringement of intellectual property rights

  • Disruption of servers or networks

  • Commercial use of Service content without authorization

  • Unauthorized access or distribution of harmful programs

  • Collection of other Users’ personal information

  • Impersonation or other inappropriate conduct

The Organization may suspend or terminate use without prior notice if violations occur.

Article 7 (Suspension of Service)

The Organization may suspend or interrupt the Service without notice due to system maintenance, force majeure, or other unavoidable circumstances. The Organization shall not be liable for any damages arising therefrom.

Article 8 (Modification or Discontinuation)

The Organization may change or discontinue the Service. Where fees have been paid and use becomes impossible, reasonable refunds may be provided.

Article 9 (Restriction or Termination)

The Organization may restrict or delete User accounts if violations occur or if payment obligations are not fulfilled.

Article 10 (Withdrawal)

Users may withdraw from the Service by following the prescribed procedures.

Article 11 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

The Organization makes no warranties regarding the Service.
The Organization shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the Service, except as required by applicable law.

Article 12 (Handling of Personal Information)

Personal information shall be handled in accordance with the Organization’s Privacy Policy.

Article 13 (Notices)

Notices shall be sent to the contact information registered by the User and deemed delivered upon transmission.

Article 14 (Prohibition of Assignment)

Users may not assign rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent.

Article 15 (Governing Law)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

Article 16 (Jurisdiction)

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Organization’s principal office.

Article 17 (Consultation)

Any matters not stipulated herein shall be resolved through good-faith consultation.
